TV Flashback: 1996

The addition of Fake Becky to "Roseanne" was a dark day in my life.

I am pretty sure I have never seen a full episode of any of those shows. And not even part of an episode of most of them.

More so than fake Becky, who was atrocious (an entirely different character, as was Mark when she came along) I hated the whole show by that point. The show took on a different tone and tried forcing weak jokes. By the time they won the lottery I gave up.

Are you bragging or confessing? Most of those show are "meh", but you have never seen an episode of Friends, Seinfeld or Roseanne? Do you live in a sub-Saharan African village without electricity?

@Macguffin 54: Yeah, "Roseanne" was one of the best sitcoms of all time for a handful of years ... and then it wasn't.

I watched the first few seasons of "Friends," and several episodes of "Seinfeld," which I thought was wildly overrated, but damn, most pre-21st century TV was insipid and forgettable.

(It may well be that the top 10 network shows of 2016 are just as lame as the ones from 1996, but who watches much network TV these days?)
