Song of the Day: 'Marching to Pretoria' by the Smothers Brothers

I'm still not sure what this song means let alone why we sang it in elementary school -- but I know it by heart. Were we being indoctrinated into the ways of colonialism?

It was a song by the British during the boar war. That was the war between the UK and its dominions against South Africa.
