The Abbey Marks 25 Years

Sweet note from David Cooley, who now that Splash closed probably owns the most iconic gay bar in the world. Congrats, David!

He writes:
Wow! This week is the 25th Anniversary of @TheAbbeyWeho and I want to thank you for supporting my business all these years. When I opened, all I had was an espresso machine, a few desserts and a dream to own a business in #WestHollywood. #WeHo was a place that I visited and was immediately accepted for who I was and felt safe and proud of being a gay man. After all of these years, West Hollywood has given me more than I ever expected. I am thankful for the business that The Abbey has become because it made my dream a reality. Thank you to all of the people I have the pleasure to work with daily. Your dedication and hard work is why our friends come back day after day. Thank you to my customers that have supported us throughout all of these years and have become our friends. It makes me so happy to see the friendships that have been made just because of a visit or a drink while at The Abbey. As we celebrate our anniversary on Tuesday, I thank you for all of the support and love you have given me. I am very excited to bring a couple of new businesses to WeHo soon and look forward to many more years of the pleasure of having you as our guest. Xoxo
