Song of the Day: 'Strike Me Pink' by Debbie Harry, live at Wigstock

Some friends and I were just discussing Lady Bunny's hilarious one-woman show at the Stonewall, then segued into her place in LGBT history -- Wigstock being one of her biggest contributions. I was fortunate to be able to attend a number of times -- on both the east and west sides -- but I don't think there was ever a moment more perfect than when a bewigged Debbie Harry -- channeling Velma Von Tussle by way of late '60s Jayne Mansfield -- sang "Strike Me Pink" live to a backing track as the wind on the Hudson River picked up ...

Mislabeled as 1999, nearly positive this was 1998

In 1994, Debbie took part in a prank at Wigstock that many did not even realize was fake!
