California Dreaming

I was toying with the idea of flying out to Los Angeles for some R&R, timing it with Susanna Hoffs' two shows (Jan. 25 and 26) at Largo -- with special guest Belinda Carlisle -- then I started to get a little lazy, picturing myself schlepping out to the airport, going through security and all the other things that come along with modern travel. Then David Bowie died. This afternoon I booked my trip (using Capital One rewards -- it works!) and bought my tickets to both shows. Life is too short not to take advantage of fun opportunities, especially ones that were custom-made for you. Let me know if you're going to be there, too!
