RIP: Sandra Bland

Just look at that smile. There is no reason on earth Sandra Bland should have been treated the way she was. The idea that someone was "arrested for resisting arrest" is so illogical that its dubiousness speaks for itself. Law enforcement is trained to rise above cranky situations, yet the officer in this case had to do everything in his power to remind her who was boss. The entire situation was of his own creation -- he is unfit to be on the streets. My heart breaks for this woman that I never even knew. RIP, Miss Bland.

Let's leave it up to the people to decide whether or not they feel like being arrested on a particular day. Or better yet, let's stop arresting people altogether. That will solve the whole problem.

Let's not forget the video in the squad car that looks like something out of Paranormal Activity, with ghost cars coming in and vanishing out of the picture, and people and cars going by in a loop, while the sound remains uninterrupted. There's more post production in that video than a Star Wars movie.
