I was dubious when former "Can't Buy Me Love" starlet Amanda Peterson's parents said her stunning death at 43 might be related to "sleep apnea," but then pictures from a few years ago surfaced that showed her still vibrant and beautiful, so I put it out of my mind. Turns out I was right to be skeptical. People magazine pulled up these mug shots -- where she looks disturbingly like Chelsea Handler -- and clearly years of drug and alcohol abuse -- as well as other kinds -- took a toll. Sad ending for someone who was by many accounts a very kind person.
