Truth and/or Consequences?

I'm loath to question sex-assault accusers, but this deeper look at a well-publicized case at Columbia University is shockingly head-scratching. Read and tell me your thoughts.

It's very weird. Not only do their impressions of the details of the specific encounter differ but the details of the entire night do, too. Perhaps she was roofied (sp?) on another night and her memories are bleeding together? Perhaps she took drugs on that night which has affected her recollections? Perhaps she is bipolar? This reminds me of a case I have seen reported about a man whose wife accused him of raping and beating her, causing the death of their not-yet-born child. Even after DNA evidence cleared him and another man confessed, the wife still blames her (now) ex-husband and she even sued him for the wrongful death of their child. How do you explain something like that?

It looks to me like she is a severely bitter and manipulative head case

The existence of campus review boards that exist separate of police investigations is pure insanity. Rape is a serious crime, and it should be handled by the police and only by the police. Only after a conviction should a university take action against a student.

This is one of the rare cases of 'She lied'. I think she got caught up in the lie and felt she had to go even further until everyone believed her. There was probably someone driving her on further, IE the mattress protest.
