My blogger pal John Aravosis mentioned on Facebook hearing "Hold Me Now" the other day as he prepared for his move from D.C. to NYC, only his iTunes radio station said it was by Tears for Fears. His friends quickly corrected him -- it was Thompson Twins, obviously -- but the seeds of love had already been planted, reminding me of hearing this New Wave anthem on the way to Denny's with my friends Yuki and Deanna back in May of 1985, after we'd just finished the rehearsal of our graduation ceremony from Dobson High School. With our 30-year reunion looming, it makes me kinda wistful now.
