My girl sings her classic song from "A Christmas Gift for You From Phil Spector" on "Late Show With David Letterman" for the final time, a tradition we can only pray will carry on when Stephen Colbert assumes the reigns in 2015. How would we know it's Christmas if it didn't?
UPDATE: Awful news -- Love says she is retiring the song.

Love told the NY Times last week that out of respect and gratitude to Letterman, she will not sing the song on a talk show again. She credits him and the platform he gave her with the song for a good part of her comeback.
She also said she climbed on the piano to avoid embracing Letterman and crying on the air.
