When I moved to the Southland in 1990, one of the big gay events I attended was Long Beach pride. Always in May, it's when you know pride season has officially kicked off. And since it's smaller and more quaint, it's usually a lot more fun than the big ones -- as evidenced in these photos from over the weekend from my pal Danny Casillas.
