Song of the Day: 'Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)' by Joan Jett

Completely jealous of my friend Mark who got to see Joan Jett perform Saturday night a the Roxy on the fabulous Sunset Strip. The concert was a benefit for the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center, which of course leads to the small world part of the story: The center's communications director is my pal Jim Key, who Mark used to work with a hundred years ago at The Orange County Register -- where I also later worked and was set up on the blind date with Jim by Mark! (About 15 years would pass before Jim and I would cross paths again.) Mark says the show was a blast -- she finished with "I Love Rock 'n' Roll," "Crimson and Clover" and "I Hate Myself for Loving You," but more importantly did "The French Song" earlier in the set. Apparently the concert was just the kickoff to the organization's An Evening With Women gala, which you can read all about HERE.

This is one of my all time favorite Joan songs! I remember roller skating to it but what I remember most (because it is burned into my memory) it the original performance video that showed Joan opening a trench coat and flashing her 0% fat hard body (almost no tits) in a leopard print string bikini.
