'Fairyland' Postscript

You may have heard about Alysia Abbott's recent memoir -- "Fairyland" -- about being raised by her gay father in the Castro after her mother passed away. Abbott always believed her mother had been something of a victim of her father's sexual awakening, once the openly bisexual man confessed to his wife that he could only experience "comic love" with other men. But while promoting her book, Abbott has met dozens of people who knew her self-styled revolutionary parents along the way -- including a woman who says she was Abbott's mom's lover. (Time for a sequel?) For the full story, pick up the latest issue of Out magazine.
