A dozen years later and Sept. 11, 2001, still doesn't seem real. Am grateful my friend's killer was finally brought to justice, but that seems like the only that's been accomplished since that day, material things aside. The Arab Spring lost its step, and now we find ourselves on the brink of yet another war. Never thought I'd be nostalgic for the Cold War.
