The Ice Maiden Cometh

We don't usually think of Chris Evert as being the greatest athlete to ever play the game. But sometimes I even forget that her ability to see the ball and know exactly where to hit it was truly remarkable, as seen in this 6-1, 6-1 dismantling of Hana Mandlikova.

UPDATE: Video has been removed. This 1983 U.S. Open quarterfinal was something also!

Thanks for posting! We seem to forget how incredible her anticipation, movement, precision and placement were. She was a fabulous player. And, to top it off, she was 31 years old here!
