Sure, this guy isn't going to win Copy Editor of the Year. But is it really kosher for a cop to respond to this horny wordsmith's Craigslist ad pretending to be a 14-year-old girl so you can turn around and arrest him? The minute he replied to the email which identified the sender as 14, he was on the hook. Is it baiting him? Sure - but if he'd ignored it, he wouldn't be in trouble.
