Burritoville

So ... the last 48 hours have been spent in bed, as a result of what I can only think was food poisoning. Felt perfect all weekend but then Sunday night something seemed off. Tried to ignore it and went to bed -- only to wake up in the middle of the night violently throwing up repeatedly. In the past, that's been enough to get it  -- whatever "it" was -- out of my system, and I usually feel fine after. But not this time. After the vomiting came some diarrhea (there wasn't much left in my system) and then a fever kicked in, which led to hallucinations and crazy dreams. (You know those dreams where you dream you can't fall asleep? It was so awful.) I felt so nauseous that I couldn't bring myself to take anything. Luckily, Michael forced me to take Tylenol and by this morning my fever had broken. Still feel extremely weak, but am happy to be up finally. I had taken this week off to be productive in the city, and having squandered Monday and part of Tuesday, I've been very depressed. Here's hoping things return to normal soon!

Think of it like this: now after throwing up/shatting everything you've ever eaten, you'll now be the perfect weight for New York!!!

I'm no doctor (nor do I play one on TV) but the fever leads me to think it's a flu and not 'just' food poisoning.

Regardless, try warm ginger ale to soothe the stomach, and feel better soon!

Listen to your body - you need rest! I know it's frustrating that you can't get stuff done, but you need to rest! I hope you feel better soon!

Nothing tops stomach flu / food poisoning!!!!! It's the absolute worst!! Take a day or two off and regain your strength.
