Marat Safin: The Sexiest Man at the Russian Polls

Not sure if retired tennis champion Marat Safin abandoned his bid for a seat in the Federal Parliament in Russia or not, but he did look awfully good voting in his country's elections over the weekend. If anyone can read THIS, let me know what it says!

UPDATE: I'm told he won. He filed under Putin/Medvedev's party, however, so at least two lawsuits are pending in his region.

The article reads something very vaguely like this:

----------

Marat Safin voted in Nijny Novgorod

Worldwide famous ex-tennist received an absentee ballot.

Marat Safin went to the voting location, located in the Pedagogical University, around 10am in his own Porsche Cayanne. He was alone, without an entourage, but none the less easily found the site.

Marat was in good spirits, joking with journalists, and informed that tomorrow "will be to celebrate".

the voting location, Marat Safin met with his co-party-member and neighbor on the voting list Vadim Bulovinov.

I don't quite understand the start of the last paragraph, and it's been long enough that although my dictionary helps find the roots of the words, there may be shadings of meaning that I'm not getting...
