Madonna, paying homage to Lucille Ball in "Stone Pillow" -- or brother Anthony?
Oh, brother. Kinda horrifying to read that one of Madonna's older brothers is homeless -- and it's not even druggie Martin from "Truth or Dare."
The Michigan Messenger reports that Anthony Ciccone, 55, has been living under a bridge in Traverse Ctiy for a year and a half since losing his job at his father’s vineyard and winery. He told the Messenger that it annoys him that some people are amused that "a person from such a high profile family would end up in this situation."
“My family turned their back on me, basically, when I was having a hard time,” he said. “You think I haven’t answered this kind of question a bazillion times -- why my sister is a multibazillionarie, and I’m homeless on the street?”
“Never say never,” he said. “This could happen to anybody.”
“I don’t have any income, I’ve got to go collect bottles and cans, do odd jobs.”
Ciccone tells the paper that he suffered from frostbite on his feet last year, and that he hangs in the lobby at Meijer’s to defrost.
Madonna has never struck me as being warmest person in the world, but something tells me this one must have done something pretty awful for her to sit by and allow this. Even Oprah and Dr. Laura would pay the bills for their estranged relatives just to avoid the horror of something so awful. This one's slipped into Mariah Carey hooker sister-land -- a true family tragedy. (Casting directors from "Intervention," are you reading?)

I'm sure her father would help him out, forget about Madonna herself. But these types of situations are more complicated. This guy is probably a troubled soul, to put it in really charitable terms, and she has probably washed her hands of him. There comes a point when enough is enough.
I love the STONE PILLOW reference - even 22 years after her passing, Lucy will never live that down!!
She's put more than one person—and more than one family member—through rehab. If it doesn't take, I think she washes her hands of it.

Stone pillow could probably also refer to Madonna's heart ;)
Notice that he lost his job at his father's company. There's more going on than he's telling.
I doubt very seriously that the family turned their back. I'm sure they tried very hard to save his troubled life. Probably on drugs. When you try and try to help someone and completely slap you in the face and use you some more and you grow weary. You don't turn your back you transfer the responsibility back to them. Everyones life is their own if he can't help himself noone can. I bet Madonnas Zillion dollars he claims she has that if he completely changed straightened out his life stayed off drugs and alcohol that they would all help him including Madonna. I bet Daddy would even give him a job back. Sounds more like a spoiled ass that thought because his sister hit it big that life was a free ride and the party was on her!!
Both Madonna and silvia would help. But as with any alcoholic the person has to help themself. His father many times has tryed to help Anthony. Madonna has tried Mario Paula but to no avail even I have tried everything is a good man. And he's his own man. Now he's in a good place.
