I Remember

Even if I hadn't lived downtown on Sept. 11, 2001, the devastation and loss of life is something I'd never forget. That the person I spent that horrible day with, Larry Brickman, would die in a freakish way a couple years later makes today all the more sad and empty.
I walk past this firehouse nearly every day and often think of these men's families and what they've had to go through to pick the pieces that can never be put back together ...
and my blood still boils when I think about where our friend David Charlebois, right, would be today if he hadn't been piloting Flight 77 that day. He was just 39.
