Not to be mean, but James Van Der Beek really didn't strike me as the type who would age well -- blondish, high-forehead types rarely do -- but boy was I wrong. Between the DILF jeans ad, this New York magazine piece (who knew he'd been an egomaniac but now makes fun of himself for thinking he was the next Matt Damon?!) and his new jailhouse movie, it's beginning to look like he's the new Jason Bateman, without the 20-year MIA period.
