Obama's hands are not tied here by DOMA. He has the discretion to NOT deport this law-abiding, suffering couple, which ICE exercised with other high-profile gay deportation cases (like Henri Velandia etc.)
But I wonder if Obama is doing this to make him look better to the right wing or give him cover if he's accused of not enforcing DOMA. Either way, it's disgusting.
