It Depends on What You Mean by 'A-List'

Apparently all you need to be on the A-list is a pair jean cut-offs

Jeremy Peters deconstructs "The A-List: New York" in the Sunday Styles section of The New York Times to uproarious effect: "These people make the 'Real Housewives' ... look like the graduating class of a fine Swiss finishing school. Logo, it seems, has created a new gay secret shame." That most of the cast doesn't seem to be in on the joke -- Reichen has trademarked his made-up first name(!) and barked at a young admirer who approached him in a bar, “I’m sorry, no. I’m having an interview with The New York Times. Can you just leave me alone?” -- suddenly doesn't seem so sad, however, as Peters reports that the show averages just 156,000 viewers an episode. (Or does that make it sadder?) Read HERE.

OMG - another tragic season of these wannabe actors promoting bad gay stereotypes that set us back years. Glad no one, not even gay people really watch Logo. How did we get stuck with such a bad network? I guess the only thing more tragic than this program are those that would waste precious life and time actually watching it.

Good OLD Richard, true to form, is now calling Jeremy Peters, the author of the article, "homophobic" and a "bully." He also calls him a "liar." Jeremy has responded on twitter that he "records" all his interviews. Too bad Richard!

Local newscasts as well as "Jeopardy" and "Wheel of Fortune" in major markets have much higher ratings than A-List.

I watched it once, pretty pathetic. It's just so hard to watch anything on Logo or any channel that is not in HD. Spoiled I guess.

Wasn't it just last fall that people were still snarking at people who wore jean shorts?

They will make a reality show out of anything. The stereotyping in television makes me furious sometimes.

I watched one time last year and once this year. Those guys are the most self absorbed, self important, immature gay boys on the planet. They perpetuate the stereo type of pretentious superficial gay men at their worst. They need a reality check from reality tv. The show does gay men a disservice.
