The New York Times has a treasure trove of disgusting documents related to the case of Lawrence C. Murphy -- "The Predator Priest Who Got Away" -- who sexually abused more than 200 deaf boys at his boarding school over the course of 22 years: "Victims tried for more than three decades to bring him to justice, but documents show that the church neither defrocked him nor referred him for prosecution." This "victim profile" reads like a twisted Manhunt ad -- I love that even perverts have a "No Fats" policy ("medium build, not overweight"), although he steers clear of minorities because he "assumed they knew too much about sex" -- and might help some altar boys better understand why they were targeted, while others were not.
