OK, I have never watched even a moment of "American Idol" in the last eight (or however man) years. But when I saw the headline that a female contestant had performed Blondie's "Call Me" on last night's show, I tracked it down. I want to send out a big thank you to Haley Reinhart for confirming why I don't watch these god-awful karaoke shows. Same with Pandora -- I barely have time to occasionally listen to the versions of these songs I know and love let alone this crap!Thursday, April 14, 2011
'Idol' Thoughts
OK, I have never watched even a moment of "American Idol" in the last eight (or however man) years. But when I saw the headline that a female contestant had performed Blondie's "Call Me" on last night's show, I tracked it down. Not that I necessarily want to make a habit of defending her, but in all fairness, she's had better performances. "Call Me" was an off night for her.
