The blogosphere is buzzing about Jake Gyllenhaal bringing Rilo Kiley singer Jenny Lewis to the Golden Globes as his date. But a message board claims that the two -- who were reportedly romantically involved in 2001 -- are actually just longtime friends, and wonders if "Straight Edge of the Blade" -- lyrics HERE -- by Lewis' Jenny and Johnny side project isn't about him:

Make of it what you will. He wouldn't be the first heart throb to be accused of being a closet case, and he certainly won't be the last. In his "defense," however, I don't think he has any ties to Scientology.
