Mr. Wilson and the (Strict) Machine (UPDATED)

I've had my eye on San Francisco Giants closer Brian Wilson ever since the National League Championship Series began -- I seem to have a thing for men with beards, not to mention crazy ones with that name. Didn't realize just how crazy (fun) Brian Wilson No. 2 was until I saw him interviewed after striking out the final Phillie to send San Fran to the World Series and the reporter asked Wilson if he had any response to a tweet by rival C.J. Wilson, the starting pitcher for the ALCS champion Texas Rangers, that read: "See your beard real soon." Without batting an eye, Wilson replied, "Sounds delicious -- we'll be coming."
When asked for a more "creative" comeback to the not-quite-trash-talk, Wilson added, "I think The Machine will say all he needs to say when he makes an appearance again." The reporter got REALLY uncomfortable and said, "We don't need to take The Machine on national TV" and ended the interview shortly thereafter. Completely intrigued by what I had just witnessed, I did a little digging around to try to figure what Wilson was referring to that could elicit such a response from a grown man. Turns out the world met "The Machine" at Wilson's house, 43 seconds into this video clip posted below-- Hello, Daddy! -- and I don't think the world of sports is quite over it yet. The ever-mischievous Wilson seems to relish the attention -- and who wouldn't want to shower him with some? -- even if it does seem to hint at some sort of man-on-man action. Only in San Francisco, kids, only in San Francisco ...

If Wilson's a pitcher, does that mean The Machine is a catcher?

UPDATE: Has The Machine been UNMASKED?

"The Machine" is Pat Burrell. When Burrell played in Philly Chase Utley had tee shirts made up for spring training from the pic of Burrell doing a bicep curl shirtless with the headline Pat Burrell "Man or Machine". Burrell lives in Wilson's house in SF.
