'I Just Had Sex With Chris Evert in Martina Navratilova's Bed'

My love of women's tennis of yesterday is well-documented, if not pathological. So needless to say "Unmatched," the new ESPN documentary about the unparalleled relationship between legendary rivals Chris Evert and Martina Navratilova, was more fun than a reunion with all of my best friends from high school. (Weren't Chris, Martina, Tracy and Andrea my best friends, really?) I only see one more showing on the schedule -- Oct. 25 at 1 a.m. on ESPN Classic -- but I suggest you do whatever you can to see this mini-masterpiece. The only thing more fun than watching Chris and Martina watch Chris and "Martina" battle it out on "Saturday Night Live" is the casual conversation the dynamic duo have while Martina's "driving" a vintage Mercedes convertible, a la Cary Grant and Marilyn Monroe in "Monkey Business"! More about the film HERE.

I thought it was great. It's amazing the kind of relationship they developed given the rivalry they had. It was fun to hear them talk about their double date with Dean Martin's son and Desi Arnaz Jr. Although I could have done without the reveal that Chris and Andy Mill had sex for the first time in Martina's bed.

Thanks for the post Kenneth. I love tennis and watching quality play.

I find it both amusing and annoying comments about which player is better, which ones are nicer, who has class, etc.

There certainly were some idiotic comments posted on sports sites following the US Open Finals, dissing Nadal, dissing Novack, dissing Fed, etc. What so many fail to take into account is that these players, from the time a childhood, grow up with eachother and are members of eachothers support networks. Rafa and Nole have been playing tennis together/against for more than 10 years and they are only 23/24 years old. Few realize that as 13 year olds, Rafa encouraged Andy Murray to join him practicing tennis in Spain since there are very limited tennis instruction available in Scotland.

Worse are the horrible (and regularly racist) comments about Venus and Serena.

For true tennis fans, good tennis and good sportsmanship, wow, how great.

I thought it was fantastic as well. They have such a warm relationship.

Is the documentary based on the book "The Rivals" that came out a few years back?
