Mama's Not Monkeying Around

Couldn't help but get a little teary-eyed checking out this mama monkey in New Delhi who leaped into traffic to save her baby from a hungry wild dog. The baby monkey had just been struck by a moped while scampering across the road when a black mutt, scavenging for food, sensed an easy kill and and made a beeline for the babe as Mom was trying to save her offspring. Mama Monkey was having none of it, jumping on top of the dog and sending him running with a bite on its neck. Afterward, the traumatized baby clung to its protective mom as they made their escape through the crowd of human gawkers.
