Just a quick note about last night's rather disturbing episode of "The Real Housewives of New York." A lot of crazy shit happens on "reality" television, most of it obviously staged. But I don't think I've ever seen someone completely unravel the way Kelly Killoren Bensimon did when she inexplicably unleashed on Bethenny Frankel on Ramona's rent-a-yacht. It's always been obvious that Kelly wasn't the, uh, brightest woman in the world (remember her message to PETA?). But last night it became obvious that Kelly is not only incredibly stupid -- and I mean INCREDIBLY -- she's also bat-shit crazy, lacks any sense of empathy and is clearly in need of psychiatric treatment (I'm seeing symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia). For the sake of her children, I hope Bravo intervenes and gets her the help she so clearly needs.Friday, May 14, 2010

You are so right. Kelly is one messed-up chick, and I think it's going to get worse as she gets older. I'm glad Jill didn't go on the cruise because she would have covered for Kelly's weirdness. And apparently, the woman loses it even more, judging from next week's preview.

That woman is freaky. I mean no offense but maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea for a social worker to pop in and talk to the kids. I mean I know she's the epitome of motherly role models, posing in Playboy and all but still....
Bethenny seemed to hold her own. Don't know how you could go off on someone when they are pregnant and just buried their father. Sane people might have some tact.
It was really nice for most of the episode to be Jill-less. She's going to need to do some She and Kelly need to do some serious damage control after this season. Sure there are edits but they usually edit out stuff you say, not add it in.
