On the heels of President Obama's historic appointment of a transwoman to a position in the Department of Commerce, the administration has inserted language into the federal jobs Web site explicitly banning employment discrimination based on gender identity.
Naturally, the Family Research Council, a Washington-based hate group, immediately had a problem with the move.
“We at the Family Research Council oppose including gender identity as a category of protection,” said Peter S. Sprigg, senior fellow for policy studies.
Sprigg said his group believed that what it calls “gender identity disorder” should be “treated with therapy to help people be comfortable with their biological sex rather than affirming and celebrating and protecting those who want to deny their biological sex.”
I'm happy to see that Mr. Sprigg feels his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary also qualifies him as a medical doctor, a psychologist and an expert in gender-identity disorders. I, on the other hand, feel his academic background and smile/haircut combo make him an ideal spokesmodel for the Ted Haggard Finishing School, which tells me all I need to know about this douche.

I thought for sure you were going to say the photo was of another transgender appointee; F to M on a budget. Then again, no self-respecting trans man would allow himself to be seen looking like that.
I for one am glad Mr. Sprigg took time off from the requisite male hooker and meth binge to issue this lovely statement.
