Gentleman Took Polaroids

Well, the silkscreens based on these photos may be long gone, but Andy Warhol's Polaroids of famous athletes are safe and sound, and on display at Danziger Projects, through Dec. 12 at 534 W. 24th St. In addition to these iconic shots of Chris Evert, O.J. Simpson (swoon), Vitas Gerulaitis, John McEnroe and Tatum O'Neal, Dorothy Hamill (bitch stole my hairdo) and a sexy young Wayne Gretzy, you can also see Muhammad Ali, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pele and Tom Seaver "captured at the height of their youthfulness and fame" over HERE. (Oh, and there's also a photo of Jack Nicklaus.)
