It's hard for me to say which I hate more, Las Vegas or poker. (Maybe playing poker in Las Vegas?) But if Ben Affleck, Matt Damon and Dean Cain -- three of the best things from the 1990s -- were going to be around, then I think I'd be "in." (Ben's haircut is so cute!)

People sometimes seem to love to hate Las Vegas.
I moved here after Katrina; I figured it would be dryer and it was. I like the desert; it's a change from the swamp, although I miss New Orleans, at least the way it was.
To me, Phoenix is sort of like Vegas without casinos, all urban sprawl filled with people who couldn't make it anywhere else, but perhaps especially not in California.
It's part of where the dream of the unlimited west hits the door and begins to rebound.
Don't get me wrong though; I kind of like being here now.
