How is it that two seemingly innocuous women from the most benign country on the map can both be so unbelievably annoying? First came word that Kim "I make Lindsay Davenport look like she's got killer instinct" Clijsters is -- YAWN -- returning to the game this summer after -- YAWN -- getting married and having a baby. (She just won her first comeback match against Michaella Krajicek at the Ordina Open in Rosmalen, Netherlands, which is great practice for folding to Serena at the U.S. Open when she's up 5-1 in the third.) Now -- as if Kim's return weren't annoying enough -- my brother informs me that Justine Henin, one of the most infuriating people to ever set foot on the court, has apparently launched a singing(!) career. Note to Kim and Justine: Why can't you follow in the footsteps of many great European players before you (See: Bunge, Bettina ; Jausovec, Mima; Maleevas, The) and just go away? ..."I am ze greatest singer in zee world!"

Seriously, I can't believe people are finally figuring this out. This is like the 3rd site I've seen this on in the past day, and this happened over a month ago. Weird.

Stop dissing Kim, she is a slam champion and former number 1. And Justine sang just fine. You are bizarre about tennis, the whole years you have been making fun of and critiquing Roger Federer and now you all of a sudden act like his biggest fan for winning Roland Garros, bit hypocritical.
Both ladies have achieved a whole lot more then the women you name in the end of your article. They were decent but no slam winners, so no comparison
gaydutchnyc: I can see why you'd think that about Roger & me if you've only been reading my blog in recent months, but he's been MY IDOL ever since he came on the tour. I've only been disappointed in him in recent times because he began to offer excuses in ways that reminded me of later-day Peter Sampras (NOT a favorite of mine), so un-Roger of him.
As for Kim ... I wanted SO BADLY to love her. I hate the Williams sisters for their COMPLETE LACK OF WORK ETHIC. But every time someone comes along who can beat them (Kim, Lindsay, Jennifer) what do they do? They lie down and CHOKE. It's just too much for me to watch. (Stay home and be a mom, like YOU SWORE was all you ever wanted.)

Seriously, I HATE HATE HATE Justine. There's something about the way she plays, looks, talks, is, that just rub me the wrong way. Maybe it was when she cheated at the French against Serena, calling a let, and then saying she didn't, or the complete lack of a credible personality. Urg...Just the mention of her makes my blood boil. Can't she just fade into oblivion already?
And Kim...well, she's like the ugly friend we all keep around. Better that she doesn't talk, but no real hate for her.
