All Things Vile -- and Vyle

(EDITOR'S NOTE: This post was written by guest blogger Marc Lallanilla.)

Blogging will be a little light today because I'm on deadline for an article about how to manage high cholesterol. (One leading researcher's advice: "Get them to stop eating like an American. In my office I have a 3-year-old child who's going to have type-2 diabetes within a few years.")

Three years old and already obese and pre-diabetic. What will happen when the kids who are fat today become the adults of tomorrow. Will everyone look like Jabba the Hut? Or do we already?

While I'm trying to save the world from its lard-ass ways (step away from the bagel ...), I'll leave you with a video clip from the funniest show I've seen in weeks.

The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle stars Jennifer Saunders as host of a raunchy, obnoxious daytime blabfest -- imagine Oprah in heat. It's the best thing she's done since Absolutely Fabulous, and can be seen on the Sundance Channel.

Thanks for the tip on The Life and Times of Vivienne Vyle! I just set up a season pass on TiVo so I can start watching the show. Ooh, I love me some Jennifer Saunders!
