  • My Other Favorite Redhead: Who's Ready? Season 4 of Kathy Griffin's "My Life on the D-List" starts tonight and I cannot wait: "It’s one of the best examples of the way in which celebreality shows have taken over much of the territory formerly occupied by situation comedies: think of it as 'I Love Lucy' with Ms. Griffin as both Lucy and Desi." Kathy really is the modern-day Lucy: she even brought Tiffany onboard so she'd look skinnier! (NYT)

  • Objection: What the heck? You post a few photos on your Web site of women on all fours painted to look like cows, a sexually aroused animal and images of public masturbation and suddenly you're not fit to be a Circuit Court judge? (WP)

  • Fountain of Youth? The Daily News has a photo essay of 10 Hollywood stars who have remained ageless over the years. While I don't entirely agree with their picks, the five whose aging process has been most cruel was far more interesting. Meg Ryan is high on the list, and if you've seen the trailer for "The Women" -- or have working eyes -- you certainly know why. (NYDN)

  • Historic Vote: The gallery at the Norwegian Parliament erupted in applause and cheers on Wednesday with the passage of legislation allowing same-sex couples to marry and adopt children. Norway, which is not a member of the EU, joins Spain, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa and Canada in granting gay people full marriage rights. Now if America could only be as progressive on human rights as South Africa. (365Gay)

  • Court Blows It: No sooner did the California Supreme Court begin to acknowledge gays and lesbians as full citizens, on Monday the 1st U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld the dismissal of Cook v. Gates, a lawsuit brought by 12 discharged gay and lesbian military servicemembers, against Secretary of Defense Robert Gates and Secretary of Homeland Security Michael Chertoff and the implementation of the "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. How sad that we must continue to live at the mercy of individual court rulings to get treated in the way that our founding fathers intended us to be treated all along. Where are all of those "activist judges" we keep hearing about when you need them? (PageOneQ)

  • From Luxury to Heartache: A free Boy George concert for New York City sanitation workers and their families? Talk about a no-brainer! (Gothamist)

  • Ego Check, Stat: "Grey's Anatomy" star Katherine Heigl has dropped out of the Emmy race. In a statement she said, "I did not feel that I was given the material this season to warrant an Emmy nomination and in an effort to maintain the integrity of the academy organization, I withdrew my name from contention," but I think she this bitch is out of control and needs to get over herself. (AP)

  • No Little Darling: Depending on who you ask, Tatum O'Neal is either back to her out-of-control drinking ways (when she's not buying crack on the streets of Lower Manhattan), or she's a ginger-ale-sipping karaoke maniac. Whatever the case may be, I don't think this chick's gotten this much press since 1973. (Radar)

  • Courting Equality: Gay and lesbian couples from around the country who flock to California to get married in the coming months should try to win support from friends and neighbors when they return home but refrain from filing lawsuits, which could backfire, nine advocacy groups said Tuesday. (SFGate)

yeah, this from the same Uncle Toms who 10 years ago said said gay marriage wouldn't happen in our lifetime, or at least for another 25 years ... including HRC, which refused to endorse openly gay candidate Jim Neal during the North Carolina primaries. F*** the sell-outs.
