Page 1 Consider (01/09)

  • Sordid Lives: A new gay series starring Rue McClanahan, Olivia Newton-John and Leslie Jordan (aka Beverly Leslie on "Will & Grace")? Sign me up! (LOGO)

  • Cash and Carry: It wasn't exactly "Weekend at Bernie's" when two men in New York City's Hell's Kitchen were arrested on Tuesday after pushing a corpse, seated in an office chair, along the sidewalk to a check-cashing store to cash the dead man’s Social Security check, the police said. (NYT)

  • Kaposi Sarkozy: Just what the world needs: a privileged French rapper. (AP)

  • Wall of Teflon: Phil Spector seems one step closer to getting away with murder with news of a key witness' death. (AP)

  • His Are Real: Who's got bigger boobs, Ice T or his his girlfriend, Coco? I knew they looked a little too excited when I saw the two of them in the food court at the Chandler Fashion Center back home. (2Snaps)

  • Winging It: Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert came back this week, sans writers, and the results were uneven at best. (NYT)

  • Expensive Joke: When Jerry Seinfeld went on David Letterman and ripped into the woman whose cookbook his slut wife, Jessica, seems to have "borrowed" from greatly I knew he'd gone too far. I hope calling her a "wacko" and likening her triple-barrel name to Mark David Chapman was worth the huge settlement she's gonna get out of the Bee man. (NYP)

  • Double Standard: Army Sgt. Darren Manzella figured that stating he was gay on national television would surely get him booted from the military under the Pentagon's "don't ask, don't tell" policy. Oddly, embroiled in two wars suddenly the U.S. military doesn't seem to mind. (USAToday)

Uh, that's Ice T's wife, by the way. Not his girlfriend.
