West Side Story

Rush-hour traffic wasn't about to get in the way of a lovers' spat between two queens in Phoenix yesterday afternoon. After getting into an argument at Metrocenter Mall (one wanted to go to Jeans West, the other is a Chess King man), one of them decided he was going to end it all by running out on the Black Canyon Freeway (I-17) at rush hour. The more "sane" partner followed trying to "rescue" his suicidal lover, but (as we know) no good deed goes unpunished and an Arizona Department of Transportation traffic camera quickly caught the men exchanging bitch slaps blows. As dozens of cars narrowly avoided hitting them some drivers began to get angry and chased them off the road. Both men eventually jumped the fence into a Sweet Tomatoes(!!!) parking lot and were arrested shortly thereafter. What do you expect from people who live on that side of town, anyway? (I can hardly wait to go home on Monday.) (Story)

Oh yes, because NYC has absolutely no crazy people. You all are so much more sophisticated than us here in the sticks.

Yikes. My East Valley vs. West Valley crack was even lost on a Phoenician. Perhaps you need to grow up there to get it. Oh, well ...

I have been reading your blog for awhile and had no idea that you were from Phoenix and an anti-west sider like myself J Avondale, Tollefson, Surprise. Ugh.

Thank you for keeping me up to date on the happenings at Metro Center and keep up the great work on the blog.

Have a great trip to AZ!
