a fun article in the
Sunday Times about the hoopla surrounding the "Sex and the City" movie here in Manhattan. Spoilers ahead: in the film Carrie is on her third book, Samantha has moved to Los Angeles (nice work, SJP!), Charlotte dotes on her new family, and Miranda still lives in, and hates, Brooklyn. And for those as terrified as I was/am of the prospect of seeing these old broads on the BIG SCREEN you can find solace in the fact that Sarah Jessica Parker -- aka one "hands-on producer" -- made sure there were
softening filters on the camera lenses. Not that Sarah Jessica is overly concerned about what "the homosexuals" might say about the film: "I really try to not think too much about what will people think -- you know, are the homosexuals going to gag? Are the women going to be disappointed in this choice of story we’re going to tell? -- because it’s just a very complicated way of working."
