Afternoon Headlines

  • McBaby Daddy: It's a bastard for Tom Brady and Bridget Moynahan. Boy is that kid gonna be ugly. (AP)

  • Cunt Face Lovers Unite: If you're not watching "The Fashionista Diaries" then you're really missing out. (I know, where is SOAPnet??) If you need to know why, click here.

  • Well, Steines Is Getting Old: Say it isn't so: did CNN Headline Hottie Thomas Roberts sign on to be a reporter on CBS-Viacom's "The Insider" and/or "Entertainment Tonight"? (Jossip)

  • RIP: Grace Paley, the celebrated writer and social activist whose acclaimed short stories explored in precise, pungent and tragicomic style the struggles of ordinary women muddling through everyday lives, died Wednesday at her home in Thetford Hill, Vt., after a struggle with breast cancer. She was 84 and lived most of her life in Manhattan before moving to Vermont in 1988. (NYT)

  • WTF? Why is Stephon Marbury running around defending Michael Vick -- who murdered dogs with his bare hands!!! -- calling dogfighting a sport and comparing it to hunting? Meanwhile, the NAACP is already jockeying for Vick's return to football -- before he's even entered his plea. (AP)

  • Pants on Fire: This story about Laura Albert (aka JT LeRoy) is great in that it captures how truly sad and pathetic she is (wait till her "friend" hands her a bunch of hundred dollar bills so she can eat!). But why is she still receiving so much publicity? (NYT)

Further proof that the NAACP has no credibility any more. Defending Vick (a guy who is so associated with such beastly activity that a million more dog-lovers have moved straight into grudging racism)!? Wasn't one of those A's supposed to stand for "Advancement"?
