  • HPV Alert: Researchers say the same virus that causes ovarian cancer also is increasing throat cancer in women. Why am I thinking this is a much bigger concern for the gays than straight women? (Source)

  • The Great Flan Caper: This Dear Abby letter is so great because it takes place in Madison Heights, Mich., the city where I grew up through age 12 -- and it's an office problem that is going on where I work right now! (Source)

  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: A dead man who helped a lesbian couple in Pennsylvania have two children is liable for child support an appeals court has ruled. The court sent the case back to a lower court to determine how much the estate of Carl L. Frampton Jr. should pay. (Source)

  • Driven to Tears: An employment tribunal ruled Thursday that Sting and his wife, Trudie Styler, discriminated against their chef by firing her after she became pregnant. (AP)

  • Ride 'Em, Cowboy! A University of Vermont fraternity and four of its members who were accused of violating the state's anti-hazing law in a stunt requiring pledges to dress up as gay cowboys are threatening to sue the college. (Source)

  • How Gracious: Republican presidential candidate Sam Brownback grilled a judge who attended a same-sex union ceremony in 2002, insisting that she could not rule impartially on cases about same-sex marriage, but said he would no longer block her nomination. Brownback, a Kansas senator who hates queers, last year held up the nomination of Janet T. Neff to be a federal District Court judge in Michigan. Who the hell does this guy think he is? (AP)
