Forever in Blue Jeans

So I got some press material about Nautica Jeans Co.'s new jeans for spring 2007 called the N-Series Straight Leg jean. The release says the jeans are "more body conscious, with lower front and back rises, making it both stylish and universally acceptable for all body types. Wider front and back pocket openings also allow for easy entry and provide a shape that sits cleanly at the hip area for a more updated look. To give the jeans a more authentic look, busted out side seams, mild destruction, grinding treatments, slight pinching and tacking are added to the jeans."

The ads and the descriptions were intriguing, but then after watching Nautica's hilarious Webisodes poking fun at "baggy" and "skinny" jeans (see them here), I decided I had to try a pair for myself. I love them. I used to hate jeans (I know, I'm the only guy in America who's ever said that). I didn't buy my first pair until I was nearly 30 because they were so uncomfortable the first dozen times you wore them that I would end up giving them to charity before they ever got comfortable. These N-Series jeans feels like you've been wearing them for years the first time you put them on. Most importantly, though, I'm not exactly overly endowed in the rear-end department. But unlike other jeans I've bought, N-Series jeans accentuate what I do have (and I've got something) rather than robbing me of my minor attribute(s).

The jeans market is unquestionably overcrowded. But I think Nautica's got a winner. And for those of you who don't like to spend $200 on a nice pair of jeans (I refuse), these go for $45 a pair.

What? No photo of the Kenny-booty in the new jeans? We KNOW you have a camera. Put Michael to work! Your audience awaits.

This was actually very helpful. I like jeans, but being a slim guy, I have had a hard time finding jeans that weren't so baggy that I didn't look like I just stepped out of a POW camp.
