I saw that half block of construction on 8th Ave the other day & I just have to put it out of my mind ...living on Christopher street for many years I have never seen this kind of transition in the neighborhood, this quickly....I just walked past Sarazac House..a restaurant that has been here longer than I have and they have closed it's doors to a brewery for the "yuppies" with the mutant babies amongst numerous other establishments..and most stay for a year and another NAIL SALON opens!
