  • That'll Teach Her: A Chicago man raped and murdered "a pious, 51-year-old Catholic mother of four" because she vocally opposed his "gay lifestyle." (LifeSite)

  • Homos Galore: Blame it all on the gay agenda. (Everyone else is.) (BH)

  • When Gays Attack: A Tel Aviv synagogue has been attacked and daubed with graffiti, apparently in response to religious Jewish attempts to ban a gay pride march in Jerusalem. Ultra-orthodox Jews have opposed the march, scheduled for next week. Windows in the synagogue were smashed and the walls were painted with the slogan: "If we can't march in Jerusalem you won't walk in Tel Aviv." On Wednesday evening ultra-orthodox protesters clashed with police in a district of Jerusalem. (BBC)

  • Dirty Trick: San Francisco mayor Gavin Newsom said Wednesday that he is considering canceling the Castro district's annual Halloween festivities in the future after a shooting at this year's event wounded nine people and left another person injured in the ensuing panic. Gunfire broke out late Tuesday during the massive street party after a bottle was thrown during a confrontation involving two groups of young people, police said. "Thank God no one was killed," Newsom said. "That probably would have ended the event immediately, and that does not mean we will not consider shutting this event down in the future." First the cutie mayor stops using hair gel and now he wants to cancel Halloween? You call this gay friendly? (AP)

  • Infested: "Saturday Night Live" star Maya Rudolph is suing her Soho landlord over bedbugs. Too bad she can't sue Lorne Michaels over the crappy scripts she's been getting for the last six years. (AP)

  • Hooker of a Preacher Man: The Rev. Ted Haggard's 49-year-old gay stud-for-hire looks like he has a nice chest in this pic. (NYT)

Halloween in the Castro is not attended by the majority of the local gay/lesbian community. It became an event where straight people could come and see the gay "freaks" and soon turned into a young persons drunken and gay bashing event. The local community has been wanting this cancelled for the past few years. Anyway, we moved our party to a secret night.

When I lived in San Francisco, I stopped going to Halloween in the Castro -- it just got too scary. It's not a neighborhood event or a gay event anymore. It's now attracting a gang element and people who are just looking for trouble. Any knowledgeable SF resident gave up on the Castro Halloween years ago. It's time that it end for good.
