Page 1 Consider (10/10)

  • Stranger With Candy: A New Jersey school district is being sued for failing to protect students from a woman with a sexual appetite for under-age boys. (Say it isn't so, Kelly! Isn't this your school where Jerri Blank once ruled the halls?!) (NYT)

  • Duking It Out: Now that Dan Abrams is off the air I'm not nearly as "up" on my legal news. But this piece brings things up to date on the Duke lacrosse rape case, and Mike Nifong's behavior is as perplexing as ever. (AP)

  • That's Not So Raven: Denver Broncos' quarterback Jake Plummer's beard is back and so is the Broncos' winning ways. (WP)

  • Mentally Light: Maybe fat people are really just stupid. (WebMD)

  • How Do You Spell GI? I wonder why the Army is dummying down its recruitment standards -- again. (AP)

  • Not-So-Young Guns: Finally some "good" news from the George Michael camp: he's reuniting with his Wham! mate Andrew Ridgley to play a special Christmas concert including all the bands classic hits as part of Michael’s current world tour. (PinkNews)

  • RIP: The end is quickly approach for the Bowery's landmark punk club CBGB's. (AP)

I would say that someone should be writing about the NJ teacher and Mark Foley's escapades in one article. It is clear that sexual orientation is not the determining factor when it comes to the inclination for adults to pursue youths whether they be students or pages.

Don't forget that "Swimfan" also stalked those hallowed halls. This entire situation is embarassing on so many levels. I mean, when I was at the school there was so much talk of incidents like this involving a number of teachers. You mostly just took it as rumor, but after this came to light it really made you think.
