In my further attempts to report celebrity sightings around town, Michael bumped into Olympia Dukakis the other day near the Irish Repertory Theater on West 22nd Street, and I spotted Red Sox relief pitcher Keith Foulke on my way into work today. OK, I spotted someone who was obviously a baseball player getting into a big bus and Michael later helped me figure out who it was after a try or two.
Foulke's bio says he's 6-feet, 210 pounds, but when I snagged this photo of him I was towering over him, so I'm guessing 5' 10", 210 pounds is a little bit closer to the truth. Height exaggeration aside, the Bosox stuck it to the Yankees 5-3 last night in nine innings. Michael was at the rain-soaked and said it was a long -- but fun -- night. We're going to see the Yankees-Mets a week from Sunday.
