  • Brown v. the Dept. of Motor Vehicles: Bobby Brown was arrested Friday on 14-year-old motor vehicle violations, which would have been committed right around the time his career died. (AP)

  • Dancing Queens, Indeed: Swedish poptarts ABBA wouldn't reunite for a reported $1 billion, but a gay rights benefit in Poland? You betcha! (PinkNews)

  • Swear to God: Gay Bishop Gene Robinson is out of rehab and back to work. He promises to steer clear of the beer bust at the Breezeway too. (AP)

  • Final Call: Cops are closing in on a suspect in the brutal murder of Imette St. Guillen. (NYP)

  • Taste of Cali: For Trader Joe's, a New York Taste Test / This is great news for Manhattanites who eat. (NYT)

DARN Right! I shelled out full price for 2 tickets for MAMA MIA 4 times! (I saw it a fifth time for free)… And I’m sure there are many other unfortunate gays like me, too! (Sad, huh?) It’s just a little payback.

While I’m disappointed BROKEBACK didn’t win, I’m outraged that CRAP did.

These are my thoughts EXACTLY, thank God you found someone to put them in coherent words for me! My anger gets in the way and I start sounding like a Nun on LSD on Space Mountain with the lap bar off. Even if I was to overlook the black and white characterizations and the baseball bat message being bashed into my head, on the most basic level the movie became predictable, as soon as the walking issues (not characters) were introduced. I sat there like an idiot just waiting for each one of them to do the opposite of what they are. It wasn’t ironic, it was insulting.

This message was delivered more effectively and 1000 times more entertainingly in a 3 minute song from AVENUE Q.

I understand that it’s felt the message is important, but why does the message have to be catered to idiots, thus making the best motion picture of the year a big budget After School Special?

I’m angry again. Thanks a lot, Kenneth!!
