OK, this one's a couple of days old, but last night at work not a single person had heard about it, so I decided it still hadn't hit the mainstream. It seems Faye Dunaway recently pulled a tirade on producers of a new documentary about her life that would have made Joan Crawford proud. When the final cut of the film didn't focus enough on the "positive things" in her career, Faye wasted no time reminding them who was boss.
In her lengthy phone message, Dunaway takes exception to the producers' using so much footage of an interview with her ex-husband Terry O'Neil, whom she calls "a big, big liar" and "a man who, suffice it to say, stopped working when he married me and pretended to be my manager for a very long time. So let's not even go there. It's very upsetting to me!" Later she says that she wants every mention of Andrew Lloyd Weber to be removed, stating, "I'd like you to cut him out," from referring to her role in Sunset Boulevard. (You may recall that Weber unceremoniously fired Dunaway claiming she could not carry a tune to save her life.) She also doesn't take too kindly to mentions of her role in Mommie Dearest ... and the venemous message goes on and on ...
(Why does this whole incident just make me love her more?)
Listen to the delicious message here.
