'Generous' to a Fault

So it turns out disgraced Sen. John Ensign really is a family man, if by "family" you mean having mommy and daddy pay a married woman for fucking his married ass. (These people will do ANYTHING to defend marriage. And his name is "John," after all.) How are the Ensigns spinning this one? In a statement, they said: "The gifts are consistent with a pattern of generosity by the Ensign family to the Hamptons and others. None of the gifts came from campaign or official funds nor were they related to any campaign or official duties. Senator Ensign has complied with all applicable laws and Senate ethics rules.” It's hard to dispute that this behavior is well within the scope of ethics rules for members of Congress.
