This demo of a song that was later an "outtake" from Fleetwood Mac's juggernaut "Rumours" (1977) and an album track from Stevie Nicks's solo debut, "Bella Donna" (1981), shows just how big of an effect a producer can have on a song. Anyone disagree that she nailed it in '77?

Song of the Day: 'Never Going Back Again' by Fleetwood Mac
For any other band, "Never Going Back Again" could have been a its claim to fame. But when you're a member of Fleetwood Mac, Lindsey Buckingham was lucky it was used as the b-side for a single off of "Rumours," which is still arguably the best album ever. (Could have been worse: Stevie Nicks' sublime "Silver Springs" didn't even make the LP!)
